Ever wanted to own oceanfront property in Pebble Beach? Now's your chance. Described as a landmark home, Sotheby's International Realty has just listed this extravagant Pebble Beach, California, property for $44,888,000.

One of only 31 waterfront properties in the popular getaway destination of Pebble Beach has just hit the market. Privately situated on Pescadero Point, the newly listed luxury home offers stunning views from every room. Like many properties found in the Monterey Peninsula, it sits coast side and offers some exclusive and sometimes unbelievable vantage points of one of the most beautiful beaches and accompanying bays in the area.

Built in 1991 and situated on approximately 2 acres, the Spanish-Mediterranean inspired home is located on 17-Mile Drive, a scenic road through Pebble Beach and Pacific Ground on the Monterey Peninsula in California. Surrounded by serene beach views and exclusive golf courses, the palatial Pebble Beach home offers not only a variety of nearby attractions (including the Lodge at Pebble Beach, a nearby five-star resort), but some amazing views to boot.

The oceanfront residence boasts high vaulted ceilings, five bedrooms, five bathrooms, a gracious and open floor plan, and a variety of indoor-outdoor living and entertaining areas. Beyond the grand living room and formal dining area is the fully-equipped kitchen with top-notch appliances. Past that is the mansion's grand informal great room, which leads out to the home's ocean side terrace, a wide veranda complete with both an additional kitchen and an infinity swimming pool.

Of the property's five bedrooms, Sotheby's describes four as "ocean view suites," two of which are found in the detached guest house and the home's master suite. Beyond fascinating views, the spacious master bedroom –  on the home's first floor – boasts its own sitting room/office space and attached bathroom. Other sites that can be seen from the property include the Pebble Beach Golf Links, Carmel Bay and Beach, Carmel Valley, and Point Lobos.

Sotheby's International describes the home as "redefining location, location, location in Pebble Beach," and with views like these, it's hard to argue with them. Take a virtual tour of the $44.88 million Pebble Beach home by checking out the video below.

While Pebble Beach is famous for its beautiful sights and popular attractions, it also is known as a peninsula – literally – of both prime and pricey real estate. In 2015, a Pebble Beach beachfront property once belonging to actor Gene Hackman sold for $27 million, making it one of the most expensive sales in the area. More recently, the owner of the Houston Astros listed his private Pebble Beach compound for $37.9 million.
