He campaigned in the 2010 primaries and promoted himself as a small business owner of Cohen's Green Cleaning. Cohen spent more than $2 million on his campaign. He ended up winning the Democratic Party's nomination to be Lieutenant Governor of Illinois. Cohen withdrew under pressure relating to his personal life and background.
