He was the 47th Vice President of the United States, jointly elected with President Barack Obama. He is a member of the Democratic Party and was a U.S. Senator from Delaware from January 3, 1973 until his resignation on January 15, 2009, following his election to the Vice Presidency. Biden was re-elected alongside Obama in 2012. In 2019 Joe launched a bid for the 2020 Presidential election.
Early Life: Joe Biden was born November 20, 1942 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Biden attended the Archmere Academy in Claymont, where he was a halfback/wide receiver on the high school football team and where he helped lead a losing team to an undefeated season in his senior year.
