Andrew graduated from Fordham University and Albany Law School. He started out as a campaign manager for his father and was an assistant district attorney in New York City. Cuomo worked as a lawyer in a private practice and founded the Housing Enterprise for the Less Privileged and served as Chairman of the New York City Homeless Commission from 1990 to 1993. In 1993 he joined the Clinton Administration as assistant secretary for Community Planning and Development in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Cuomo was Secretary of Housing and Urban Development from 1997 to 2001. He ran for Governor unsuccessfully in 2002 and became Attorney General of New York from 2006 until 2011. Cuomo was the Democratic nomination for Governor and defeated Republican Carl Paladino in 2010. He was re-elected to a second term in 2014. Andrew was previously married to Kerry Kennedy, daughter of Robert F. Kennedy and now lives with Food Network host Sandra Lee. He authored the book All Things Possible: Setbacks and Success in Politics and Life in 2014.
