Early Life

Slayyyter was born Catherine Grace Garner on September 17, 1996, in Missouri and grew up in Kirkwood, a suburb of St. Louis. She attended Catholic school when she was young before going to Kirkwood High School, where she sang in choir and became increasingly interested in music and performance.

Garner later enrolled at the University of Missouri but left after about a year. Back in St. Louis, she lived with her mother and worked as a receptionist at a hair salon while beginning to record music at home. Much of her earliest material was made with inexpensive equipment in her mother's house and uploaded to SoundCloud.

Internet Breakthrough

Garner adopted the name Slayyyter and began collaborating online with producer Ayesha Erotica. Their song "BFF" helped introduce her to a small but enthusiastic online audience. She followed it with songs such as "Candy," "Alone," "Hello Kitty," and "Mine," combining glossy turn-of-the-century pop influences with deliberately exaggerated lyrics and visuals.

"WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA" was released in March 2026. Drawing heavily from Slayyyter's Midwestern upbringing, the album incorporated pop, punk, dance, rap, and electronic music on songs including "BEAT UP CHANEL$," "CANNIBALISM!," "CRANK," and "BRITTANY MURPHY." Touring and Live Performances
