Early Life
Olivia Isabel Rodrigo was born on February 20, 2003 in Murrieta, California. She was raised in the town of Temecula. She is of Filipino descent on her father's side and German/Irish on her mother's side. Olivia's father is a family therapist and her mother is a school teacher.
Olivia began taking acting and vocal lessons when she was six years old and was soon appearing in local theater productions. She started taking guitar lessons at 12, influenced by her parents' love of alternative bands from the 1990s like Green Day, No Doubt and Pearl Jam.
Olivia soon began pursuing professional acting gigs, landing some modeling and commercial work. A notable early success was a commercial for Old Navy.
