The Lumineers
Struggling to make it big in New York City, Schultz and Fraites moved to Denver, Colorado in 2009. There, they put up a Craigslist ad for a cellist and heard back from Neyla Pekarek, who subsequently became the third member of the Lumineers. After playing gigs around Denver and doing some national tours, the Lumineers released their eponymous debut studio album in 2012. Supported by the hit single "Ho Hey," the album reached number two on the Billboard 200 and number eight on the UK Albums Chart. The band subsequently went on its first world tour, from 2012 to 2013. In 2016, the Lumineers released their second studio album, "Cleopatra," which debuted atop both the Billboard 200 and the UK Albums Chart. Its singles included "Ophelia" and "Angela."
The third studio album by the Lumineers, entitled "III," was released in 2019; it was the first of their albums without Pekarek. Supported by the lead single "Gloria," the album peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 and number eight on the UK Albums Chart. In 2021, the Lumineers released the song "Brightside," the lead single from their upcoming fourth studio album of the same name. The album came out in early 2022 and reached number six on the Billboard 200. A little over three years later, the Lumineers released "Automatic," their fifth studio album. Its lead single was "Same Old Song." In addition to their studio albums, the Lumineers have released several EPs and the live album "Live from Wrigley Field."
