💰 Compare Robyn Gibson's Net Worth

Robyn Gibson net worth and divorce settlement details: Robyn Gibson is an Australian former dental nurse who has a net worth of $400 million. Robyn Gibson is most famous for being the ex-wife of actor/director/producer Mel Gibson. They were married from 1980 to 2011. They have seven children together and several grandchildren.

Robyn met Mel Gibson in the 1970s when they both were renting rooms in the same house in Adelaide, Australia. At the time they met, Robyn was working as a dental nurse and Mel was an unknown, struggling actor. They stayed together even as Mel's career and fame exploded thanks largely to his role in 1979's Mad Max.

Robyn and Mel eventually were married for over 30 years. Technically she filed for divorced in 2006 but the divorce wasn't officially finalized until 2011. Because Robyn was married to Mel throughout his entire ascension from unknown actor to worldwide A-list superstar, she was entitled to a hefty divorce settlement. When the divorce was finalized in 2011, Mel paid Robyn a $425 million divorce settlement. That's enough to be one of most expensive divorce settlements of all time.

Real Estate: Robyn is a prolific real estate investor with many homes all over the world. In 2014 Robyn paid $18 million for a home on the ultra-exclusive Broad Beach in Malibu. The seller was Disney heir Susan Downey Lord.

In December 2020 Robyn paid $17.5 million for a home in Malibu. The seller was Bradley Wayne Hughes, Jr., the heir to the multi-billion dollar Public Storage empire. Here's a video tour:

She owns at least one other Malibu property according to public records. Unfortunately, the home on this property was destroyed in the Woolsey Fire back in 2018.
