Stitches was born on June 17, 1995 in Miami, Florida and given the name Phillip Nickolas Katsabanis. He was born to parents Esther and Alexander Katsabanis and is of Greek and Cuban descent. His parents divorced when he was one year old. He was raised in Kendall, Florida, a suburb of Miami. While a teenager, he got caught up in illegal activity. He has said he sold cocaine and guns to make money after he moved from Miami to South Beach in order to support himself.

Career

Stitches originally began releasing rap music under the name Lil Phill. He gained attention early on when his track "Brick in Yo Face" went viral. He released his first mixtape, "No Snitching Is My Statement," in 2014. He released two other mixtapes in 2015 – "Brick Bible" and "Supply and Demand." The same year, he released his debut album, "For Drug Dealers Only." He followed that up with his next studio album in 2016 with "Tales of a Drug Lord." In 2017, he released two albums – "Cocaine Holiday" and "I Need Rehab." In 2018, he released the album "Bipolar" followed by "Time for Murder." In 2019, he released a new mixtape called "Brick Bible 2." The following year, he released another studio album called "Married to the Bricks."

Stitches has gained fame over the years due to his controversial lyrics. He also has a very distinctive appearance, as his face and body are covered with tattoos. He owns and operates his own tattoo shop called The Rabbit Hole in Miami, Florida. He also launched his own clothing line, The Riff Raff Collection.

Personal Life

In 2012, Stitches got married to Erica Duarte. The two had met after Duarte appeared on the reality show "Paris Hilton's My New BFF Season 2." At the time of their marriage, Duarte was 28 years old while Stitches was only 17. They had three children together during their marriage – Rex, Rocco, and Evelyn. The couple later divorced in 2017.

Stitches has gotten in trouble with law enforcement numerous times over the years, usually related to weapons and drugs charges. In 2017, he was arrested on gun and drug charges in Miami after police found a gun and marijuana in his car. He was booked into jail but later released. In August 2022, he was arrested on cocaine and weapons charges. However, prosecutors ultimately declined to pursue charges against him after the police had still not submitted the cocaine Stitches allegedly possessed a month later. All the charges were dropped in September 2022.
