Donny Osmond Net Worth
Donny Osmond Net Worth: Donny Osmond is an American singer, musician, actor, dancer, radio personality and former teen idol who has a net worth of $18 million. Born December 9, 1957 in Ogden, Utah, Donny Osmond is best known as a member of his family's former musical group The Osmonds as well as for their television variety show The Osmonds in the mid-1960s. Donny went solo in the early '70s, covering such hits as Go Away Little Girl and Puppy Love, to the delight of his young girl audience. For thirty-five years, he and younger sister Marie Osmond gained fame as Donny & Marie, due in part to the success of their 1976–79 self-titled variety series. The duo also hosted a 1998–2000 talk show and have been headlining in Las Vegas since 2008. Though the industry had been good to Donny in his younger years, the squeaky-clean image he had portrayed up to this point was about to haunt him. In 2009, Donny told the Larry King Live show that longtime friend Michael Jackson even suggested Donny change his name to boost his image. His 1989 single Soldier of Love was initially released to radio stations without an artist's name to get unprejudiced feedback from audiences. In July 1992, Osmond played Joseph in the Elgin Theatre's Toronto production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and toured North America with the production until 1998. Creator Andrew Lloyd Webber, impressed by Osmond's talents and the show's successful six-year run, chose him for the 1999 film version. In 2009, Osmond competed on the ninth season of Dancing with the Stars and took first place.
