Whitman Mayo Net Worth: Whitman Mayo was an American actor who had a net worth of $1 million. Whitman Mayo was born in New York City, New York in November 1930 and passed away in May 2001. Mayo was best known for playing the role of Grady Wilson in the television series Sanford and Son.

Whitman served in the United States Army and then attended college and started landing small acting roles. While working for the New Lafayette Theatre he was offered the part of Grady Wilson by Norman Lear. Mayo starred in that role on the TV series Sanford and Son from 1973 to 1977. He also played the role of Grady Wilson in the television series Grady from 1975 to 1976 and Sanford Arms in 1977. Mayo also starred as One Ball in the TV series Hell Town in 1985 and as Doc Sterling on The Van Dyke Show in 1988. He starred in the 1991 film Boyz n the Hood and in 2000's Waterproof. Whitman was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor – Television for Sanford and Son in 1975. Whitman Mayo passed away on May 22, 2001 from a heart attack at the age of 70.
