Television Career
Under the name Staci Love, Keanan made her television acting debut in the 1987 CBS miniseries "I'll Take Manhattan," based on the novel by Judith Krantz. Later that year, she began starring on the NBC sitcom "My Two Dads" as Nicole Bradford, the 12-year-old daughter of two single men who had previously competed for her late mother's affections. The titular dads were played by Paul Reiser and Greg Evigan. "My Two Dads" ran for three seasons from 1987 to 1990. Keanan had her next main role on the ABC sitcom "Going Places," playing the teenaged Lindsay Bowen. She starred alongside Alan Ruck, Heather Locklear, and Hallie Todd. "Going Places" was ultimately short-lived, running for a single season from 1990 to 1991.
Keanan had her longest-running role on the sitcom "Step by Step," which lasted seven seasons from 1991 to 1998. She played Dana Foster, the daughter of Suzanne Somers's and Patrick Duffy's characters. The show focused on a blended family with six children who all had some sort of animosity toward each other.
