Rise to Fame with Adolescence
While Cooper was at drama school, the production team for the upcoming television miniseries "Adolescence" came to the school and asked to view audition tapes of its strongest young actors. He beat out over 500 other applicants for the part, which would become his screen-acting debut.
Cooper filmed "Adolescence" for four months in 2024, and the series was released on Netflix in March of 2025. His co-stars in the series include Stephen Graham, Christine Tremarco, Ashley Walters, and Erin Doherty. Consisting of four episodes, each shot in a single unbroken take, "Adolescence" was an instant sensation with both critics and audiences. It went on to sweep the Emmy Awards, with Cooper winning Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie. In the process, he became the youngest male actor ever to win an Emmy.
