Marley Shelton was born Marley Eve Shelton on April 12, 1974, in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of director/producer Christopher Shelton and teacher/former singer Carol Stromme, and she has three sisters, Samantha, Koren, and Erin. Samantha is an actress and musician who has appeared in such projects as "Sorority Boys," "White Oleander," and "Judging Amy." Marley grew up in the Eagle Rock neighborhood of Los Angeles and attended Eagle Rock High School. After graduation, she enrolled at the University of California, Los Angeles, to study theatre and film. Shelton took acting classes with Robert Carnegie and Larry Moss, and she dropped out of college when she landed a main role in the 1997 film "Warriors of Virtue."
