Jon Najarian is an American business and former football player who has a net worth of $50 million. Born in 1957, Jon Najarian is the oldest of four brothers and the son of famed Minnesota doctor and surgeon John Najarian. He bounced around from college to college in order to create a successful pro football player. Najarian earned his degree in art history and design from Gustavus Adolphus and planned on an architecture career after playing professional football. Though he took part in NFL training camp, Najarian was cut after the Chicago Bears' last preseason game in 1981 in favor of Mike Singletary. Najarian earned the nickname "Elvis" from NFL and Chicago Bear legend Walter Payton.
After his NFL dreams expired, Najarian began trading on the Chicago Board Options Exchange. He co-founded Optionmonster.com, an online options trader, where he took the name DRJ as his Chicago Board Options Exchange floor call letters.
