He is the oldest of five children and captained the football and basketball teams in high school, as well as being named All-League in both sports. After graduating he started off working on the floor of the New York Mercantile Exchange for Drexel Burnham Lambert. Adami joined J. Aron as a vice president in 1996. He is one of the original cast members known as the "Fast Money Five" of the CNBC show Fast Money. The show debuted in 2006 and Guy plays the role of "The Negotiator". Adami joined optionMONSTER in 2008. He became an Ironman in 2012 completing the event in New York City to raise money for leukemia and lymphoma. Adam is a member of the Board of Trustees for the New Jersey Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. He is married to his wife Linda and has three children.
