Ron Puryear Net Worth: Ron Puryear was an American businessman who had a net worth of $120 million dollars at the time of his death. Ron Puryear and his wife Georgia earned their fortune as Amway distributors. At his peak, Ron was one of the most successful Amway distributors in the world. He died in January 2016.
Early Life: One of his first jobs was as a mill worker in Grangville, Idaho. A back injury put him out of work and ended his ability to work as a laborer. He earned an accounting degree and then got a job working as a bookkeeper while his new wife Georgia waited tables at the local Denny's.
Amway: Ron and Georgia first learned about Amway in 1971. Amway is the exclusive distributor of Alticor products in the United States and Canada with products including Nutrilite dietary supplements, XS Energy Drinks, personal care, home care, air and water purifiers, and Artistry cosmetics. They signed on and within six months had made enough money to allow Georgia to quit working at Denny's.
By 1974, Ron quit working as a bookkeeper.
Puryear was a member of the Founders Crown and North American Founders Council. Ron and Georgia qualified for Emerald and Diamond in 1976, Triple Diamond in 1995 Founders Triple Diamond in 2002, Crown in 2003, and Founders Crown in 2004.
Ron Puryear formed the WWDB system (World Wide Dream Builders) IBO Support Organization in the late 1970s. Through WWDB, Ron ultimately managed more than 500,000 distributors located in 30 countries.
This organization earned the Puryears an incredible fortune that paid for a lavish lifestyle of mansions, boats and private jets.
"Amway House": Ron and Georgia were known for building a lavish 26,000 square foot home on the Spokane River in the Post Falls, Idaho, nicknamed the "Amway House" or "River House". It took five years to construct the 13 bedroom mansion.
For many years the property was used as a retreat for elite Amway reps. In 2010 they put the home up for sale for $20 million. At the time of his death it was still listed for sale, for $10 million.
Personal Life and Death: Unfortunately Ron died in June 2016. He is survived by Georgia and a son named Jim. Their other son Brian died in 1995 at the age of 27. Jim and his wife Bobbi took over Ron's organization upon his passing.
