What is Lina Maria Aguiar's Net Worth?

Lina Maria Aguiar is Brazilian businesswoman who has a net worth of $1.5 billion. Left in front of a branch of Bradesco Bank (one of Brazil's largest banks) as a baby in 1938, Lina Maria Aguiar was adopted and raised as a daughter of Amador Aguiar, the bank's founder. Only two years later, Mr. Aguiar found and adopted Lina's biological sister, Emilia, renaming her Lia Maria Aguiar. Both sisters are listed as billionaires today thanks to the vast inheritance they succeeded from their foster father.

Whereas the third girl that Amador adopted, Maria Angela, didn't make it to the billionaire ranks as she received a small share of Bradesco Bank. Actually, the most of Amador's fortune was donated to the philanthropic Bradesco Foundation, founded by Amador himself in 1956 in order to contribute to the improvement Brazil's education. The rest of his fortune caused a fierce court fight between his adopted daughters and his second wife, whom he married few months before his death. Once Amador's daughters won in court, Lina and Lia became billionaires.
