What is Kirsten Rausing's Net Worth?
Kirsten Rausing is a Swedish businesswoman who has a net worth of $9 billion. Kirsten Rausing was born to an affluent Swedish family. Kirsten is the eldest child of Swedish industrialist Gad Rausing, whose father Ruben Rausing founded the popular liquid food packaging company Tetra Pak (precursor to today's Tetra Laval). Once her father took over the 50% stake in the Tetra Pak from his brother Hans Rausing in 1995, Gad's immediate family became sole remaining owners of the company. However, Kirsten entered the world of billionaires after her widowed mother, Birgit Rausing, left her fortune to her three children, as confirmed by the family company, Tetra Laval.
Now, Kirsten and her two brothers, Finn and Jorn, sit on the board of the company which invented aseptic-packaging technology that makes it possible to store beverages like milk and orange juice without refrigeration. Although some judged the innovation as bad for being difficult to recycle, Tetra Pak is now the central subsidiary of Tetra Laval. Kirsten and her whole family keep a low profile, especially after attempted abduction of her brother Jorn near his home in Sweden was foiled in 1989. Among other things, Kirsten is an avid horse breeder.
