Eliodoro, Bernardo & Patricia Matte are rich and influential Chilean siblings who have a net worth of $7.5 billion. These three siblings share an enormous wealth based on forestry and paper products, as well as stakes in telecommunication, banking and shipping firms. Eliodoro took over the leadership of the primary holding company Empresas CMPC, after he withdrew from the president role of five of Grupo CMPC's holdings.
His brother Bernardo supervises the other possessions of the family including their stake in Banco Bice, of which he is president, and electric utility Colbun. As for their sister Patricia, she is a sociologist and a board member of Instituto Libertad y Desarrollo, a private think tank that makes analysis of public policy, as well as economic and social issues.
