He started to accumulate his net worth through the family-owned Zorlu Holding, which is now one of the largest corporate groups based in Istanbul, Turkey. The group was initially started as a textile company by Ahmet's late father Hacı Mehmet Zorlu. Now apart from textile, Zorlu also has investments and is active in the fields of white goods and electronics production, as well as delivering energy and financial services.
