What Is Jep Robertson's Net Worth?

Jep Robertson is an American reality television personality who has a net worth of $8 million. Jep Robertson was a cast member on the hit reality series "Duck Dynasty," and he is the youngest son of Phil and Kay Robertson, the founders of the Duck Commander company. "Duck Dynasty" followed the Robertson family as they lived and worked in Louisiana, where they ran Duck Commander, a company devoted to making bird calls and various other hunting-related merchandise.

Early Life

Jep Robertson was born Jules Jeptha Robertson on May 28, 1978, in Bernice, Louisiana. Sadly, Jep had a tough childhood growing up. He was molested at age six by an older girl on the school bus, and as a result, he would often fake sick to skip school. Jep fell in with the wrong crowd as a teenager and eventually became addicted to alcohol and drugs. His family staged an intervention and got him the help he needed.

Career

Jep works in the family business. The Duck Commander company was founded in 1972 when Phil Robertson invented a revolutionary new kind of duck call. His calls went on to become very popular, and his son Willie Robertson now runs their internationally successful company, which sells more than 600,000 duck calls per year in addition to millions of dollars worth of merchandise, memorabilia, DVDs, cooking products, apparel, and more. Jep also records and edits many of the family's hunting expeditions, which have become popular viewing worldwide. The company also began selling hunting gear in addition to their duck call products.

"Duck Dynasty" began as two specials for the Outdoor Channel, "Duck Commander" and "Buck Commander," before becoming a full-fledged series on A&E. The show consistently drew between 8 million and 10 million viewers per episode, enough to make it one of the most popular shows on TV. "Duck Dynasty" aired for 11 seasons from March 2012 to March 2017, and Jep was featured through season 10.

Jep Robertson also starred in the spin-off television series "Jep & Jessica: Growing the Dynasty" in 2016. This show focused on the process of the pair's adoption of their baby boy. Jep was listed as a 1st unit cameraman and production manager for the TV series "Duck Commander." He also starred in the TV documentary "Duck Commander: Making the Musical." In July 2014, Jep and Jessica started their own clothing line called Calvary, a collaboration with Australian designers Melissa Core and Rick Caballo. The line sells a wide range of clothing as well as jewelry.

Charity Work

Jep is heavily involved in charity work and often represents his family at an annual fundraiser called the Duck Dash race, which raises money for the Shriners Hospitals for Children. Jep and Jessica also donate through their fashion label to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Personal Life

Jep is also the father of five children with his wife, Jessica. They met in March 2001 at their mutual hairdresser's shop and got married in October 2001 after only dating for six months. Their children are daughters Lillian Mae "Lily" (born in 2002), Merritt Decatur (born in 2004), and Priscilla June (born in 2006) and sons River Alexander (born in 2008) and Jules Augustus (born in 2015). Jules is better known as "Gus," and Jep and Jessica adopted him as a baby.
