The duo also created SMG, an entertainment group that has partnered with dozens of global brands, including Coca-Cola, Heineken, NASCAR and Yahoo. Tepperberg and Strauss opened New York City's Marquee nightclub in 2003, TAO at The Venetian in Las Vegas, LAVO Restaurant & Nightclub at the Palazzo in Vegas and AVENUE in New York. In 2012, the brand went international with the grand opening of Marquee in Sydney, Australia. Tepperberg is also part of the Artichoke Basille's pizzeria chain that has five locations and a frozen pizza that is distributed to grocery stores in the tri-state area. He and Strauss won Hospitality Operator of the Year in 2006 and were honored by the Harvard Business School three years later. Tepperberg is considered one of the most influential and powerful people in the electronic dance music industry, and he is a member of the Nightclub Hall of Fame. He currently lives in New York.
