Wade Phillips net worth and salary: Wade Phillips is an American professional football coach who has a net worth of $9 million. Wade Phillips was born in Orange, Texas in June 1947. As a player he was a linebacker at the University of Houston where he held the school's record for career assisted tackles. Phillips started his coaching career as a graduate assistant at the University of Houston in 1969. From 1970 to 1972 he was a defensive coordinator for Lutcher Stark High School. Phillips was the linebackers coach at Oklahoma State University from 1973 to 1974. He was the defensive line coach at the University of Kansas in 1975 and had the same job for the NFL's Houston Oilers from 1976 to 1980. Phillips was the defensive coordinator for the New Orleans Saints from 1981 to 1985 and served as interim head coach in 1985.

He was a defensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1986 to 1988 and for the Denver Broncos from 1989 to 1992. Phillips was the head coach of the Broncos from 1993 to 1994 and then the defensive coordinator of the Buffalo Bills from 1995 to 1997. He became the head coach of the Bills from 1998 to 2000 and then was the defensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons from 2002 to 2003 and interim head coach in 2003. Phillips was the defensive coordinator for the San Diego Chargers from 2004 to 2006 and the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys from 2004 to 2006. From 2011 to 2013 he was the defensive coordinator of the Houston Texas where he served as interim head coach in 2013. Since 2015 he is the defensive coordinator of the Denver Broncos. Wade is the son of former NFL coach Bum Phillips.
