He became the first non-Hawaiian to win the Eddie title in 2000-01. Ross Clarke-Jones surfs all over the world including in Hawaii, California, Australia, Tasmania, Europe, and South Africa. He was featured in the documentary Storm Surfers 3D in 2012 which had a six million dollar budget.
