If you're into fine dining, a fast lifestyle, the Jet Set, international intrigue, or want to race cars in the Grand Prix for a living, you might be asking yourself or someone, How much does a Bugatti cost?

Before you can have an answer to the above question, namely How much does a Bugatti cost?, it might be good for you to know a little history about the Bugatti line of cars.

Bugatti is a line (manufacturer) of high-performance cars. The company, although having an Italian name, was founded in Molsheim, France, in the early 20th-century by Ettore Bugatti, a somewhat-crazed inventor who had a passion for engines, cars, and any sort of mechanical work. When people ask the question, How much does a Bugatti cost?, they are often referring to the most popular Bugatti model currently available on the world market. The current, most popular Bugatti vehicle is the Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4, which is considered one of the world's fastest cars, if not the fastest car, at a top speed of 268.0 miles per hour (431.3 kilometers per hour, in metric terms).

This car, while being not only one of the fastest cars in the world, but also one of the most expensive cars in the world, easily sells for over $1 million U.S. (Between 2005 and 2008, only 200 of these cars were sold on a worldwide basis. Needless to say, the people who can afford to purchase this vehicle are few and far between.)

Now that you know the answer to the question, How much does a Bugatti cost?, you need to ask yourself, or someone, Why do I want to purchase a Bugatti? And if so, HOW am I going to purchase a Bugatti?

Realistically, most people are never going to be able to afford this type of car. If you're serious about owning one, however, you might want to consider becoming a professional race-car driver. This career, while difficult to enter and very dangerous, offers a lucrative—and perhaps the only realistic—way for you to finance your future Bugatti.

All in all, purchasing and owning a Bugatti is not for the faint of heart. This car will not only cost you money, but time and dedication, commodities that are sometimes much more expensive than money itself.

If, however, you are determined to get your Bugatti, go for it! Monaco, its royalty, and the Grand Prix are waiting for you!
