Camille Grammer was born Camille Donatacci on September 2, 1968, in Newport Beach, California, and raised in New Jersey. She grew up in a middle-class family; her father worked as a financial adviser in New York City, and her mother was a dedicated homemaker. From a young age, Camille was drawn to the performing arts and modeling. After graduating from high school, she attended Montclair State College, where she studied English literature before continuing her education at New York University and later the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. These studies helped her build a foundation for a career that would eventually span dance, acting, producing, and reality television.

Career

Camille began her entertainment career as a professional dancer in the 1980s, performing regularly on MTV's popular music show "Club MTV." She also joined a dance troupe that performed at Tavern on the Green in New York City and appeared in several music videos during the decade's height of pop culture glamour.

By the early 1990s, Camille transitioned into modeling and acting, gaining national attention after appearing in "Playboy's Book of Lingerie." Camille filed for divorce in July 2010, citing irreconcilable differences and alleging both physical and verbal abuse. The divorce was finalized on February 10, 2011.

Following the divorce, Camille entered a relationship with Texas lawyer and fitness trainer Dimitri Charalambopoulos. In 2013, she filed a protective order against him after an alleged assault in a Houston hotel while she was recovering from surgery for endometrial cancer. The couple split shortly afterward, and Camille later testified publicly about the incident as part of her advocacy for domestic violence awareness.
