Over the course of his extraordinary NFL career, Tom Brady won seven Super Bowls, five Super Bowl MVP Awards, three regular-season MVP Awards, and earned 15 Pro Bowl selections. He retired as the NFL's all-time leader in passing yards, touchdown passes, quarterback wins, playoff wins, Super Bowl appearances, and championships. By the latter half of his career, Brady was also routinely earning more than $40 million per year between salary and endorsements. In total, he earned roughly $333 million in NFL salary alone, plus well over $100 million from endorsement deals.
And yet, with all those accomplishments, there was one milestone he never managed to reach during his marriage: He was never richer than Gisele Bündchen. Until now.
Gisele Was Always Richer
Tom and Gisele began dating in 2006 and married in 2009. By then, Brady had already won three Super Bowls and was one of the most famous athletes in America, but Gisele was operating on another financial level.
Her rise began in the late 1990s, and by 2000 she was already one of the biggest models in the world. That year, Victoria's Secret signed her to a $25 million contract. Over the following two decades, she earned enormous sums from brands including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Pantene, Under Armour, and numerous others.
One of her most lucrative arrangements involved Brazilian footwear company Grendene, where she received royalties tied to sales of her Ipanema sandal line rather than simply collecting a flat endorsement fee. The products sold millions of pairs around the world.
By comparison, Brady's NFL salary was substantial but often deliberately below market value because of team-friendly contracts with the New England Patriots. Even after adding endorsements, his cumulative earnings lagged behind Gisele's during most of their marriage.
At the time their divorce was finalized in late 2022, we estimated Tom's net worth at $200 million and Gisele's at $400 million. We believe that Gisele's fortune has remained essentially stable at $400 million. Meanwhile, here's what has happened to Tom's net worth in the last few years…

The Fox Deal Started Closing The Gap
In May 2022, Fox Sports announced that Brady would eventually become its lead NFL analyst under a reported 10-year, $375 million contract. At an average of $37.5 million per year, the deal was unprecedented for a sports broadcaster and immediately gave Brady a huge post-playing-career income stream.
Brady retired permanently after the 2022 season, took the 2023 season off, and joined Fox's lead NFL booth in 2024. He has now completed two seasons as the network's top analyst. Assuming the contract is paid evenly, that represents roughly $75 million of compensation over his first two seasons.
The Fox deal helped narrow the gap with Gisele, but it wasn't the biggest reason Brady's fortune surged. That came from the Raiders.
Tom Brady Bought 5% Of The Raiders
Shortly after retiring, Brady began negotiating with Raiders owner Mark Davis to buy a minority stake in the franchise. The deal took more than a year to receive NFL approval because of concerns over both the purchase price and Brady's simultaneous role as Fox's lead NFL analyst.
In October 2024, league owners unanimously approved the transaction. Brady and Knighthead Capital Management co-founder Tom Wagner purchased a combined 10% stake in the Raiders for $220 million. Brady owns 5%, meaning his share of the purchase price was roughly $110 million.
Their investment group was also responsible for about $24 million in additional NFL fees related to the Raiders' relocation from Oakland to Las Vegas. If those costs were split evenly, Brady's total investment was roughly $122 million.
At the time, the Raiders were worth around $6.7 billion. Five percent of that amount would have been $335 million, yet Brady was able to buy his stake for roughly one-third of that figure because minority interests in NFL teams typically trade at discounts. The shares are illiquid, provide no controlling authority, and can only be transferred under league rules.
Even by those standards, Brady's entry price was unusually favorable.
The Raiders Are Now Worth $10 Billion
By August 2025, the Raiders' estimated value had already climbed to about $7.7 billion. Then, in May 2026, a much stronger valuation benchmark emerged.
A group of investors acquired a 25.3% minority position in the Raiders in a transaction that valued the franchise at approximately $9.9 billion.
A separate 2026 franchise valuation later placed the Raiders at roughly $10.1 billion. Taken together, there is now a strong case that the franchise is worth around $10 billion.
At that valuation, Brady's 5% interest has a simple pro-rata value of roughly $500 million. That represents roughly $380 million of appreciation on paper in less than two years.
Why Brady Is Now Worth $650 Million
We are not simply adding the $500 million headline value of Brady's Raiders stake to every dollar he has ever earned. He spent more than $100 million acquiring the shares, has paid enormous amounts in taxes over the course of his career, and the stake deserves some discount because it is private, illiquid, and non-controlling.
Still, Brady's current asset base is dramatically stronger than it was when he retired. He owns 5% of a roughly $10 billion NFL franchise and is only two seasons into a Fox broadcasting contract worth as much as $375 million. He also owns valuable real estate, including his Miami estate on Indian Creek Island, and has accumulated a growing portfolio of sports and business investments.
The Raiders are only one piece of that portfolio. Brady became a minority owner of the WNBA's Las Vegas Aces in 2023 and also invested in English soccer club Birmingham City, where he became chairman of an advisory board. He separately owns Team Brady in the E1 electric powerboat racing series; the team won the championship in each of the competition's first two seasons.
One of Brady's more interesting business assets is NOBULL. In 2024, his TB12 wellness company and BRADY apparel brand were combined with NOBULL, making Brady a significant co-owner of the larger fitness and lifestyle company. In January 2026, NOBULL raised $50 million at a reported $1 billion valuation. TB12 subsequently began winding down as its nutrition and wellness products were folded into the broader NOBULL business. Brady's exact ownership percentage has not been publicly disclosed, so it would be speculative to put a specific dollar value on his stake, but it is clearly another potentially valuable asset.
Brady also continues to monetize his name through endorsements and media. Hertz has maintained him as a brand ambassador into 2026, and he appeared in Dunkin's Super Bowl LX campaign. In 2026, Brady added a very different kind of endorsement when he appeared in Gucci's global fashion campaign and made his runway debut for the luxury brand.
His media interests extend beyond Fox as well. Brady founded 199 Productions to develop documentaries, television series, and films and has since worked as a producer on projects including "80 for Brady" and "The Roast of Tom Brady." His post-football media slate has continued expanding through documentary and sports-entertainment projects.
Before any of these post-retirement ventures, Brady had already earned more than $450 million from NFL salary and endorsements. Add the appreciation of his Raiders stake, his Fox income, real estate, NOBULL ownership, stakes in several professional sports teams, media interests, and continuing endorsement income, and our current estimate of Tom Brady's net worth at $650 million becomes much easier to justify.
They may no longer be married, but with this new net worth, I'm sure Tom feels at least a small sense of relief and accomplishment in finally claiming what may have been the most elusive trophy of his entire career: the ability to say he's richer than Gisele.
