Taylor Armstrong's House: Fame Does Not Always Equal Fortune

By on October 4, 2012 in ArticlesCelebrity Homes

Taylor Armstrong must sincerely wish she was not in the public eye right now.  The troubled cast member of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" has had one of the ugliest years in reality show history.  Her very public downward spiral began with a lawsuit brought against her husband claiming fraud.  Her husband subsequently committed suicide.  This left her saddled with the fallout from the lawsuit.  After settling the case out of court, she was left the task of coming up with $1 million in damages.  She handed over personal possessions, since her salary for the "The Real Housewives" in no way equaled the amount required by the court, but it turned out that many of the valuable items she turned in were fakes.  The entire situation has tarnished her credibility in multiple Beverly Hills circles, and it has resulted in intense scrutiny of the reality star who was born with the name Shana Hughes, but chose to change it multiple times over the years.  The most recent casualty of her overall air of untrustworthiness is the home in which she lives with her daughter.  The house, which has been featured on "The Real Housewives…" multiple times, is a rental.  The landlords decided to put it up for sale.   They feel like they "need a change", they say.  Apparently, that change involves booting Taylor Armstrong, and all of her drama, out of their house.

Taylor Armstrong's house in the Holmby Hills area of Los Angeles is 4,800 square feet, and houses five bedrooms and four bathrooms.  Ms. Armstrong and family moved into the home in 2008, and rent for the property is apparently $15,000 per month.  Taylor Armstrong's house also sports floor-to-ceiling windows, multiple fireplaces, tiled floors, a large eat-in kitchen, and high ceilings.  Out back of Taylor Armstrong's house, there is a large verandah and a kidney-shaped swimming pool, surrounded by lots of greenery.  The house is on the market for $3.7 million dollars.  With a price that reasonable, there is a good chance that Ms. Armstrong will need to move sooner, rather than later.
