Sarah Michelle Gellar's House: New Baby, New Show, New House

Sarah Michelle Gellar is one of those actors who has worked steadily for so long, that she is sort of part of the American pop culture collective unconscious.  She made her television debut when she was four, and has quite literally never stopped working.  She had appeared in television movies, numerous commercials, and was a successful child model all by the time she was twelve.  In 1992, she was cast in the short-lived, but popular series, "Swan's Crossing", and then moved on to appear on the popular soap opera, "All My Children".  Her Emmy-winning work on the show was especially notable, because unlike most stars who portray younger characters, the writers realized that they'd made a mathematics snafu after she was cast, and she ended up playing a character several years older than her biological age.  From there, she went on to appear on the show that would catapult her to worldwide fame, starring as Buffy Summers on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" from 1997-2003.  She also launched a successful film career, appearing in such projects as "Scream 2", "Cruel Intentions", "The Scooby Doo" franchise, and "The Grudge" franchise.  After stepping away from the spotlight somewhat to focus on her children, she recently returned, starring opposite Robin Williams in the new show, "The Crazy Ones".  As she gets started on a new show, she also seems to be starting up a new chapter domestically.  The recent birth of her second son with husband, Freddie Prinze, Jr., has necessitated a move to a new home.

Sarah Michelle Gellar's house is 7,318 square feet and has six bedrooms.  The Hamptons-style home sits on 1/3 acre of land, and comes complete with hardwood floors, high ceilings, lots of windows, and multiple fireplaces.  Sarah Michelle Gellar's house features a large living room, a formal dining room, an eat-in, state-of-the-art kitchen, and a sitting room.  Outside of Sarah Michelle Gellar's house there is a large patio, a beautifully landscaped lawn, and a swimming pool with its own waterfall.  The home cost $6.1 million, a sizable discount from it's original price of $7.9 million.  Apparently the real estate gods like her as much as the steady acting work gods do.
