Paula Abdul's career has been quite the roller coaster. After auditioning her way into a spot on the Laker Girls' cheerleading squad, she quickly transitioned to head choreographer. Her work with the Laker Girls led to choreography gigs for television, music videos, films, and tours, and saw her working with the entire Jackson family, including choreographing Janet Jackson's "Control" tour, as well as choreographing sequences for "Big", "Coming to America", "Jerry Maguire", "American Beauty", "Can't Buy Me Love", and a long list of other high profile projects. In addition to her multi-Emmy winning choreography work, she also launched a hugely successful music career in the 90s that spawned six #1 hits and won her a Grammy Award. After a break from the spotlight, she returned to television as a judge on "American Idol" in the early 2000s. Since then, she has judged multiple shows, continued to choreograph, and has all around enjoyed her re-emergence into pop culture. Most recently, she served as a judge on the first season of the US version of "The X Factor". The show had some issues, and was decidedly less popular than creator, Simon Cowell, had hoped. However, many people tuned in simply to see Ms. Abdul and Mr. Cowell reunited as judges, harkening back to their early "Idol" days. Unfortunately, the network was less enamored with the reunion of the two celebrity judges, and it was announced that Ms. Abdul had been let go from the show, just after the end of the first season. In addition to her leaving the show, she has also decided to let go of her lovely Sherman Oaks, California house as well. It may be that she believes her ousting from "X Factor" to be a sign that it is time to move on in other ways.
The 4, 679 square foot, $1.899 million two-storey house, contains five bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms. Hardwood floors abound, as well as multiple fireplaces, a gorgeous kitchen, a winding staircase, a private patio, a garage, and a master bedroom with a private balcony, massive walk-in closet, and master bath/spa. The beautiful home overlooks a canyon, and features high ceilings, and bright, airy Mediterranean-style design. The listing of the house comes just after Ms. Abdul hosted a massive garage sale as well. She is clearly preparing for some big changes, and we can only guess at what they are.
