LeBron James' Home: $9 Million Retail Therapy in Miami

By on January 19, 2012 in ArticlesCelebrity Homes

LeBron James is having a rough time.  First, his change of team resulted in almost universal fan hatred, and then Michael Jordan recently named Kobe Bryant as his heir apparent.  Long story short, he's had a rough patch.  His move to the Miami Heat had some rather pronounced hiccups, but those seem to have been ironing themselves out over the last few months, and he is finally hitting his groove.  However, even with success, sometimes stars still need to indulge in retail therapy.  One need only look to Mr. James' $9 million South Beach mansion, at 3590 Crystal View Court in Coconut Grove, to see that that was definitely how he sought to get over his woes.

At just over 12,000 square feet, this gorgeous home on the water is made up of 6 bedroooms, 8 full bathrooms and one half-bath, a dock built for two full-size yachts, and 4,500 square feet of additional space around the house itself that is covered to protect inhabitants from the elements.  Four of the bedrooms have their own private terraces or sundecks.  If you feel the need to meditate, you can always head to the glass infinity pool with waterfall.  Maybe his ridiculously awesome new home provides part of an explanation for the improvement in the Miami Heat's playing record.  As we get deeper into the second half of the season, and Mr. James' time in his new home, we will just have to wait and see.
