Kanye West Buys Second Wyoming Ranch, This One For Almost $14.5 Million

Lest you believe that Kanye West's designs on the state of Wyoming were complete, TMZ reports that the newly born again rapper, producer, and general artist has purchased yet another massive tract of land in Wyoming, this one for nearly $14.5 million – $14.495 million, to be exact.

Bighorn Mountain Ranch is located outside of Cody, Wyoming, and sprawls over 6,713 acres of land. It was first developed way back in 1906, but in the decades since, many modern conveniences have been added, like two separate helipads among other things, as well as a few lodges outfitted with spacious saunas.

The ranch's former owner David Flitner spoke to Hayden Outdoors about the property when he put it up for sale last year, following his having lived his whole 84 years on the land. As you can imagine, he described it enthusiastically:

"We've had five generations on the ranch, and have had many businesses on the properties over the years. We run cattle and do a farming operation in the Shell Valley, raising a variety of crops including alfalfa, hay, bean, corn, malt barley and so on. We've got a 1,000 head feedlot and a quarter horse training operation. On the upper ranch, now marketed as the Bighorn Mountain Ranch, we originally organized and built cabins and a lodge for a guest operation. Guests could spend a few nights with horses and a cook and experience the ranching life."

It's not known what exactly Kanye plans to do with Bighorn Mountain Ranch, but if he's decided to take up hunting he'll find plenty of game there, with elk, deer, turkey, and pheasants among the wildlife in the area. The ranch is also purportedly home to some of the state's best trout fishing, thanks to myriad springs and creeks that raise the water quality above that found on other similar mountain properties.
