Demi Moore's House: A $3.4 Million Reflection of a Former Love

Divorces in Hollywood are a lot like movies in Hollywood, everyone has one, and there are lots and lots of them.  There have been a few couples, however, that seemed like they were actually going to stand the test of time and the pressures of the "Tinseltown" machine.  Despite a sizable age difference, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher seemed like one of those couples that just might make it.  Unfortunately, that proved not to be the case.  Now, Ashton is busy partying and working on a sitcom, and Demi is in the hospital suffering from exhaustion and an apparent nitrous oxide overdose.  There was a time when this couple was the one everyone wanted to emulate.  Their Hollywood Hills home was a reflection of their seemingly in-sync view of life, and it was featured multiple times in publications like Architectural Digest.  Designed by Ms. Moore and outfitted by Mr. Kutcher, the house married style and comfort, and pointed to a real merging of minds.  Now that home may be back on the market.

Purchased for a relatively modest $3.4 million dollars, the house is 6,700 square feet, and houses four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a swimming pool, floor-to-ceiling windows in almost every room, an atrium-style entry way, high ceilings, and wood floors.  When the couple moved in, they added two more bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as a den for Ms. Moore's children from a previous marriage, which brought the number of rooms to their current total.  The house has a sunny, open feel that makes it seem like a much larger home than it is, and the number of windows make it seem as if there is very little separation between inside and outside.  As the former Moore-Kutcher combo figures out how to divide their assets, it will be interesting to see who gets the house they built together… or whether either of them will even want it anymore.
