Christina Aguilera's House: Her House Says Diva – Even If Her Current Career Doesn't

By on April 15, 2013 in ArticlesCelebrity Homes

There was a time when Christina Aguilera was everywhere.  She was the up and coming diva to watch, and the former Mousketeer was racking up awards and album sales at a dizzying pace.  This success continued relatively unabated until a rather ill-fated image shift in 2010, a poorly received album, and a movie that received mixed reviews.  Since then, her career has been on a bit of downturn.  Late last year, just before her latest album, "Lotus", was released, she decided to take time off from her high profile judging gig on the hit competition show, "The Voice".  The break was meant to give her time to focus on her music career, promote her new album, tour, and do all the things that pop stars do.  Unfortunately, "Lotus" fizzled out of the gate, and instead of a triumphant return to touring, talk show appearances, and piles of awards show performances, Ms. Aguilera has pretty much been twiddling her thumbs, raising her family, and working on new music.  While the break may have been completely unintended, it has resulted in her getting some aspects of her personal life in order.  She has lost some weight and gotten in shape (which may or may not have been necessary depending on who you talk to), is spending more time with her family, and has made a move from her massive, and slightly over-the-top home in Beverly Hills, to a more staid, but still very lavish home, closer to Sherman Oaks.

Christina Aguilera's house in Sherman Oaks is 11,107 square feet and has six bedrooms and nine bathrooms.  The very large property features a formal living room and dining room, a massive family room with an open-beam ceiling, a state-of-the-art kitchen, a breakfast nook with a walk-in pantry, a private office, and a big playroom.  There are also six fireplaces in Christina Aguilera's house, and a saltwater pool, spa, bathhouse, and gazebo outside.  The entire home is equipped with fortress-like security to keep prying eyes and tabloid employees from getting too close for comfort.  Christina Aguilera's house cost the music star $10 million.  Though her career may be taking a bit of a dive, it is clear her bank account has not yet felt it.
