Blake Lively began acting when she was in elementary school, but somehow still seemed to spring up out of nowhere in 2005, after appearing in the film adaptation of "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants". The success of that film led to more high profile projects, and in 2007, she was cast in the role that would make her a household name, as Serena van der Woodsen, in the popular CW program, "Gossip Girls". Since then, the 20-something has gone back and forth between television and film projects, all the while insisting that acting is not her passion. What she really wants to do is focus on interior design. Apparently her agent and manager didn't get the memo (or tweet, or whatever) about the fact that acting isn't her career of choice, because she appeared in two feature projects in 2011, is currently appearing in Oliver Stone's "Savages", and is still racking up Teen Choice Awards for her work on "Gossip Girls". While "Green Lantern", the more heavily advertised of her 2011 feature projects, was not as successful as the studio hoped, she did walk away from the film with a little something extra. She managed to snag the attention of co-star Ryan Reynolds. Ms. Lively and Mr. Reynolds, (a.k.a The Man Who Can't Date a Woman Without Buying A House With Her), recently purchased a lovely cottage-style property in New York.
Blake Lively's house in Bedford, New York is made up of four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms spread out over 4,753 square feet. Rather than modern and chic, the home feels a bit more country and sweet than one would expect. Blake Lively's house is tucked back from the street, and up a meandering drive, and has a stone terrace, as well as a wide lawn that ends in a stone wall and a reservoir. There are multiple fireplaces inside the three-storey structure, as well as an office, full dining room, a recreation room, and laundry room. Word on the street, is that Blake Lively's house may have actually been purchased solely by Ryan Reynolds for $2.35 million. Maybe he has learned from past mistakes. Either way, Ms. Lively now has someplace to practice interior design to her heart's content.
