T-Boz's Car

Singer and TLC member T-Boz's car right now is a 2005 Honda Odyssey – but it probably won't be for long, since Honda has filed paperwork for permission to repossess the car after Boz (real name Tionne Watkins) failed to make payments. It's not known exactly how much T-Boz owes on the car, but if the repossession order goes through it would be just another item on the list of her financial difficulties at the moment. In 2011, she attempted to file for bankruptcy but for one reason or another the paperwork wasn't filed properly, she she isn't entitled to the protection that bankruptcy provides. Hence, her car is probably going to get repossessed.

That car is a Honda Odyssey – not exactly the flashy kind of vehicle that you often read about rappers and other celebrities cruising around in. T-Boz undoubtedly paid a modest price for the minivan, which is fairly popular in the United States. Seems a little unfair, doesn't it, for a member of TLC to be getting her car possessed while Kim Kardashian drives around in a car that's probably 10 times as expensive? That's the way the world works, I guess.

It's a sad chapter of the story of T-Boz, who rose to fame in the 1990s as part of the girl R&B group TLC. She's also had a moderate amount of success as a solo artist, with songs like "Touch Myself" and "My Getaway." Unfortunately, things took a turn for her in the following decade, and now she's having obviously very serious financial problems.

This is in addition to some recent health problems that T-Boz has been suffering from. In 1996 she made the announcement that she was a sufferer of Sickle Cell Anemia, and became an outspoken supporter of other people with the disease. As if that weren't enough, in 2009 she revealed that she had been diagnosed with a possibly-fatal brain tumor three years earlier, but had beaten the tumor thanks to a timely (and risky) operation.
