What goes up, must come down. That seems to be the lesson Taylor Swift is in the midst of learning currently. After basically becoming every teenage girl's super celebrity best friend, Taylor Swift seemed unable to do wrong of any kind. Her lyrics about heartbreak, her great sense of style, and her quirky interviews made her both accessible and aspirational, and audiences (if not always critics), ate it up. She's won multiple songwriting awards, and her four albums have netted her seven Grammy Awards, seven CMAs, six Academy of Country Music Awards, and 11 American Music Awards. That's not too shabby a haul for a 23-year old who began her professional career just seven years ago. In addition to her work as a musician and songwriter, she has also made a successful foray into acting, guest starring on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", hosting "Saturday Night Live", and co-starring in the ensemble comedy, "Valentine's Day". She received primarily positive reviews, and managed to charm an even wider audience. Unfortunately, she has a penchant for jumping into very public high-profile romances, none of which have been successful. Her merry-go-round love life has begun to tarnish her "good girl" crown somewhat, and as her fans age along with her, they are becoming increasingly disillusioned. It turns out that Taylor Swift is actually just human, and audiences are not interested in celebrities that are merely human. If you were unconvinced that Taylor Swift was actually just a regular twenty-something from Pennsylvania at heart, her choice of vehicle might change your mind.
Taylor Swift's car is a Toyota Sequoia. The Sequoia went into production in 2007, and the current generation of the vehicle runs on a 5.7 liter V8 engine. It has 6-speed automatic transmission and can seat eight. The car has a number of high-end features, including a Blind Spot monitor, daytime running lights, a Voice-Activated Touch-Screen DVD Navigation system, power reclining third row seats, Vehicle Stability Control, front/side torso airbags, knee airbags, and diamond-cut 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels. The Sequoia currently sells for approximately $50,000. She may seem fickle about her love life, but Taylor Swift is at least surprisingly frugal.
