Car Hijacking Incident
At the end of 2009, Pope and her brother Kris were driving in Downtown Vancouver when a man named David Fomradas jumped on top of their car and loudly exhorted them to run him over. Kris got out of the car, prompting Fomradas to hop in the front seat and drive the vehicle. During the incident, Pope suffered a broken rib and two cracked vertebrae, while her brother sustained serious ankle injuries.
