Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey is no stranger to making impressive kicks. His 88.2% accuracy is the fifth-best among any NFL kicker ever, and he's hit numerous game-tying or game-winning field goals throughout his career (including two in the same game against the New York Giants last season). He's also knocked in six kicks from 60 yards or further, an NFL record.
And now, he's signed a record-setting contract.
The Cowboys and Aubrey agreed to a four-year, $28 million extension. The deal includes $20 million in guaranteed money and an average of $7 million per year, both all-time highs for NFL kickers. Aubrey will get an $8.25 million signing bonus as part of the deal.

Aubrey is now the second Cowboy with the largest contract at his position. The Cowboys signed quarterback Dak Prescott to a new deal worth $60 million per year back in 2024. That still remains the highest contract by average annual value among all quarterbacks.
Perhaps even more impressive is that Aubrey hasn't been playing competitive football for that long. He grew up in Plano, a Dallas suburb, and played youth soccer with Dallas Texans SC before winning several college soccer accolades at Notre Dame. Toronto FC of MLS used a first-round pick on him in 2017. He continued his soccer journey until 2022, when he became a part of the United States Football League (USFL) as a 32nd-round pick for the Birmingham Stallions.
That means Aubrey is the only player to be drafted in the first round by one league and 32nd by another. It's a far more niche accomplishment, but still impressive.
After two seasons with the Stallions, Aubrey joined the Cowboys in the summer of 2023. He's been named to the Pro Bowl roster in each of his three seasons. He's also earned All-Pro honors each season, a First-team nod in his rookie year and Second-team in 2024 and 2025.
Aubrey and his wife are building a new home in the Dallas area and are expecting their second child in June. This new deal gives them an excellent financial nest egg for their growing family.
