Early Life

Sunny Deol was born Ajay Singh Deol on October 19, 1957, in Sahnewal, Punjab, India. He is the son of Prakash Kaur and Bollywood actor Dharmendra. Sunny grew up in a Punjabi Jat family with three siblings, Ajeeta, Bobby, and Vijayta. Dharmendra married actress Hema Malini in 1980 while still married to Prakash, and they had two daughters together. Deol attended Sacred Heart Boys High School and Ramniranjan Anandilal Poddar College of Commerce and Economics. He had difficulties at school due to his dyslexia, but he excelled at sports. As a college student, Sunny got into many fights and kept hockey sticks and metal rods in his car for protection. He also participated in street racing. She wrote the story for Sunny's film "Yamla Pagla Deewana 2," and Karan worked as an assistant director on the film. He also appeared in the film, rapping in a song that was performed by Diljit Dosanjh.
