Amanda Balionis is an American sports broadcast journalist who has a net worth of $2 million. Working for CBS Sports, she does reporting for NFL and college football games as well as for PGA Tour golf. Balionis was previously employed by Verizon Fios Channel 1 and the MSG Network to cover high school sports, and then by the PGA Tour and Callaway as an in-house reporter and host.

Early Life and Education

Amanda Balionis was born on June 20, 1986 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She later moved to Lancaster, Pennsylvania and attended Manheim Township High School. For college, Balionis attended Kutztown University of Pennsylvania for two years before transferring to Hofstra University in New York. She played volleyball at the former school. Balionis graduated from Hofstra with a BA in broadcast journalism in 2008.

Broadcasting Career

Balionis began her sports broadcasting career with Verizon Fios Channel 1, covering high school sports. In 2009, she moved to the MSG Network, where she continued covering high school sports until 2011. Balionis then became an in-house reporter and host for the PGA Tour, positions she held until 2017. For the PGA Tour, she produced content and reported on events and tournament highlights. Continuing with golf, Balionis joined the golf equipment manufacturing company Callaway in 2016 to create digital content for the company's media team, and to do in-house reporting. In 2017, she became a part-time golf reporter at CBS Sports, and the following year she was promoted to a full-time reporter. Balionis also began reporting on NFL and college football for the network.

Puppies & Golf

In 2020, Balionis founded the non-profit organization Puppies & Golf to protect and advocate for dogs and to promote their ability to heal people in need. The organization pairs military veterans with dogs and gives financial support to shelters, rescues, families, and groups that train service dogs.

Personal Life

In March of 2022, Balionis married football coach and former professional player Bryn Renner. The couple eventually separated in early 2024, with Balionis erasing all references to her married surname on social media and television.
