What is Conor Benn's Net Worth?

Conor Benn is a British professional boxer who has a net worth of $5 million. The son of former world champion boxer Nigel Benn, he turned professional in 2016 and held the WBA Continental welterweight title from 2018 to 2022. After 23 consecutive wins, Benn lost his first professional fight in the spring of 2025, to Chris Eubank Jr., the son of Chris Eubank Sr. The two fathers famously fought each other twice in the early 1990s. Their first fight took place on November 18, 1990, at the Neon, Birmingham, with the WBO middleweight title on the line. It was a fierce battle, and both fighters had a deep personal animosity toward each other, which fueled their rivalry. Eubank won the fight by a ninth-round stoppage, making him the new champion.

The second fight was even more highly anticipated and occurred on October 9, 1993, in a rematch at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester. Eubank won again, this time by a controversial split decision, keeping his WBO middleweight title. The rivalry is considered one of the greatest in British boxing history, characterized by their intense, often violent in-ring exchanges and deep personal dislike.

Earnings

Conor Benn's most significant earnings stem from his bout against Chris Eubank Jr. on April 26, 2025. The total purse for the fight was reported at £18 million, with a 55-45 split in favor of Eubank Jr. Consequently, Benn earned approximately £8 million, which is about $10 million USD. This payday marked a substantial increase from his previous fight purses, which were estimated between £500,000 and £1 million per bout.

Early Life

Conor Benn was born on September 28, 1996 in London, England. Due to his father, former world champion boxer Nigel, he had a highly privileged childhood spent largely in a mansion on the Spanish island of Mallorca. Benn even had his own Jacuzzi in his room. Despite this charmed upbringing, his father sought to teach him financial independence by never giving him money. Benn made his own money by taking painting and decorating jobs in Spain. He also did amateur boxing in Australia for a time.

Professional Boxing Career, 2016-2022

Training under his father's longtime friend and sparring partner Tony Sims, Benn made his professional boxing debut in the spring of 2016 at the O2 Arena in London. He faced Ivailo Boyanov, whom he defeated by TKO in the first round. The next month, Benn defeated Luke Keleher in Glasgow, Scotland. He subsequently returned to the O2 in June and beat Lukas Radic by first-round knockout. Back at the O2 in September, Benn knocked out Joe Ducker. Two weeks later, at the Manchester Arena, he scored a points victory over Ross Jameson. In his final fight of 2016, again at the Manchester Arena, Benn beat Steven Backhouse via TKO. He continued his dominance in 2017, defeating Mike Cole, Kane Baker, and Nathan Clarke all by TKO before concluding the year with a knockout of Brandon Sanudo and a points victory over Cedrick Peynaud. In his first fight of 2018, Benn beat Chris Truman via TKO at the Echo Arena in Liverpool. A couple of months later, he had a rematch with Cedric Peynaud at the O2, this time for the vacant WBA Continental welterweight title. After going ten rounds for the first time in his professional career, Benn won the fight by unanimous decision and claimed the title.

Benn successfully defended his WBA Continental welterweight title numerous times, starting with his points victory over Josef Zahradnik in the spring of 2019. He subsequently defended it in his final two fights of the year, against Jussi Koivula and Steve Jamoye, respectively. In his sole fight of 2020, at the SSE Arena in London, Benn retained his title with a unanimous-decision victory over Sebastian Formella. The fight marked the second time in his professional career that Benn went ten rounds. Benn continued to successfully defend his WBA Continental welterweight title in 2021, with a first-round TKO defeat of Samuel Vargas, a ten-round unanimous-decision victory over Adrían Granados, and a knockout of Chris Algieri. He made an eighth successful title defense in 2022 against Chris van Heerden, whom he beat via TKO in the second round. Although Benn was scheduled to fight Chris Eubank Jr. later that year, the match was canceled after Benn tested positive for the banned substance clomifene. Subsequently, he voluntarily gave up his boxing license with the British Boxing Board of Control. In March of 2023, he was provisionally suspended by the UK Anti-Doping organization.

In the summer of 2023, Benn's provisional suspension was lifted by the National Anti-Doping Panel. That September, he returned to the ring for the first time in 17 months for his comeback fight in Orlando, Florida. Facing Rodolfo Orozco, Benn won the match by unanimous decision after ten rounds. His next fight was against Peter Dobson in Paradise, Nevada in early 2024; once  again, he won by unanimous decision, this time after twelve rounds. Benn didn't have another match until the spring of 2025, when he finally faced Chris Eubank Jr. at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. After twelve rounds, Benn lost the match by unanimous decision, marking his first professional loss in 24 career fights.

Acting

Beyond boxing, Benn has done some acting. In 2019, he portrayed his father in the film "Rise of the Footsoldier: Marbella," a prequel to the gangster film "Rise of the Footsoldier." Benn played his father again in the 2021 follow-up "Rise of the Footsoldier: Origins."
