What Is LiAngelo Ball's Net Worth and Salary?
LiAngelo Ball is an American professional basketball player who has a net worth of $4 million. Though he is probably best known as a basketball player, the majority of LiAngelo Ball's net worth actually comes from his music career. In January 2025, he signed a $13 million deal with Def Jam and Universal Music Group. The deal included $8 million guaranteed money while also giving LiAngelo full ownership of his masters and his own label, Born2Ball Music Group.
LiAngelo Ball is the middle son of the Ball family, between brothers Lonzo and LaMelo Ball.
He played high school basketball at Chino Hills High School in California, where he was part of an undefeated team alongside his brothers. He initially committed to UCLA in 2017, but his college career was derailed when he and two teammates were arrested for shoplifting during a team trip to China. This incident led to his withdrawal from UCLA.
After leaving UCLA, he played professionally in Lithuania with BC Prienai alongside his younger brother LaMelo. He has since played in the NBA G League and had brief stints with NBA teams during Summer League and training camps, including the Detroit Pistons and Charlotte Hornets.
Unlike his brothers, who were both NBA lottery picks, LiAngelo struggled to establish himself in the NBA, primarily playing in developmental leagues and pursuing opportunities on the fringes of professional basketball.
Early Life
LiAngelo Robert Ball was born on November 24, 1998, in Anaheim, California. He is the son of Tina and LaVar Ball. Both parents were former college basketball players. As a youngster, LiAngelo often played basketball against older opponents and competed against his brothers, Lonzo and LaMelo. He attended Chino Hills High School, where he played basketball for four years. LiAngelo and his brothers attracted national attention due to their father, LaVar, who grew into a media personality in 2017. Ball was supposed to play college basketball for UCLA, but was involved in an incident in China where he was accused of stealing sunglasses from a Louis Vuitton store.
Basketball Career
The 6-foot-5 guard and small forward left UCLA and signed with Prienai of the Lithuanian Basketball League. Ball joined the Los Angeles Ballers in the Junior Basketball Association, which was founded by his father, LaVar Ball. He won the JBA championship and was named JBA Finals MVP, All-Star, and All-Star Game Co-MVP in 2018. LiAngelo joined the Oklahoma City Blue of the NBA G League in 2020. He signed a non-guaranteed contract with the Detroit Pistons in late 2020 but was waived before the start of the 2020-2021 season. In the summer of 2021, he was invited by his brother LaMelo to work out with his team, the Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets staff was impressed by LiAngelo, and it earned him a spot on their Summer League team. He played well in his summer league debut, hitting five three-pointers in 16 minutes, and was signed by the Hornets in October 2021. However, he was waived the next day. Ball was selected by the Greensboro Swarm 14th overall in the 2021 NBA G League draft, and he scored 22 points in his debut. LiAngelo once again joined the Hornets for the NBA Summer League in 2022, and in September, he signed another non-guaranteed contract with the team. He was waived in October 2022. Ball then rejoined the Greensboro Swarm roster for training camp.

NBA Contracts
LiAngelo Ball signed several non-guaranteed NBA contracts throughout his career:
- 2020: 1-year deal with the Pistons worth $898,310
- 2021: 1-year deal with the Hornets worth $925,258
- 2022: 1-year deal with the Hornets worth $1.02 million
While these deals were ultimately short-lived, they marked consistent attempts to break into the NBA, even as his off-court ventures began to eclipse his basketball career.
Music Career
In 2025, LiAngelo Ball officially pivoted to a music career under the artist name G3—and found near-instant success. He signed a $13 million deal with Def Jam and Universal Music Group, including $8 million guaranteed, and full ownership of his masters and his own label, Born2Ball Music Group.
His debut single, "Tweaker," was released on January 3 via WorldstarHipHop's YouTube channel. The song quickly went viral, reaching nearly 8 million views in just ten days. On January 8, it entered Spotify's U.S. Top 10 streaming chart, and by January 13, it climbed to #4, surpassing tracks by Kendrick Lamar, Tyler, the Creator, and Lil Wayne. The song's blend of early 2000s rap and modern hip-hop earned praise from fans, fellow rappers, and even his brother Lonzo Ball—who declared 2025 the "Year of G[elo]."
Personal Life
In 2023, it was revealed that Ball was expecting his first child with reality television personality Nikki Mudarris. That child, a boy, was born in July 2023. In December 2024, they welcomed a daughter. After separating from Mudarris, LiAngelo married Rashida Nicole. That marriage quickly deteriorated, leading to a divorce filing in July 2025.
Finances Disclosed In Divorce
In late 2025, unusually detailed financial information about LiAngelo Ball became public as part of a contentious court battle involving custody, support, and divorce proceedings tied to his relationships with Nikki Mudarris and later Rashida Nicole. Court filings submitted during the dispute offered one of the clearest pictures to date of LiAngelo's income, assets, and liabilities, largely due to sworn statements and representations made during the case.
According to filings cited by Mudarris' legal team, LiAngelo stated that he earned approximately $666,666 per month. That figure immediately drew attention, given his unconventional career path following basketball, which included stints in overseas leagues, the G League, and a pivot into music and branding. The filings suggested that his income level dramatically exceeded that of Mudarris, who reported far more modest earnings at the time.
The same court documents alleged that, as of May 2025, LiAngelo reported total assets of roughly $6.45 million against debts of approximately $2.56 million, resulting in a disclosed net worth just under $3.9 million. While the filings did not provide a granular breakdown of all income sources, they framed LiAngelo as possessing significant liquidity relative to the other parties involved in the dispute.
The financial disclosures became central to arguments over child support and related obligations. Mudarris's attorneys emphasized that LiAngelo's reported monthly income exceeded her total net worth, which included her cash holdings, real property interests, and other assets. The disparity was repeatedly highlighted in filings to support higher support demands.
