What is Prince George's net worth?
Prince George of Cambridge is a member of the British royal family who has a net worth of $500 thousand. Prince George is the son of Prince William, Prince of Wales, and Catherine, Princess of Wales.
George is second in line to the British throne, behind his father, and is expected to one day become king of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms.
His full title is His Royal Highness Prince George of Wales. He was previously known as Prince George of Cambridge until September 2022, when his grandfather, King Charles III, ascended the throne and his parents were granted the titles Prince and Princess of Wales.
As the grandson of King Charles III and the great-grandson of Queen Elizabeth II, George represents the next generation of the modern British monarchy. Although he is still a child and does not yet carry out official duties independently, he has appeared at major royal events, including coronations, Trooping the Colour ceremonies, and other state occasions, gradually being introduced to public life.
When his father eventually becomes king, George will automatically inherit the Duchy of Cornwall under a 14th-century royal charter. The Duchy is a vast private estate currently valued at more than $1.3 billion and generates tens of millions of dollars in annual income. The estate is reserved exclusively for the monarch's eldest surviving son and heir, providing financial independence to the future sovereign while awaiting the throne.
The Duchy of Cornwall
According to a 14th-century royal charter, the Duchy of Cornwall is reserved exclusively for the eldest surviving son of the reigning monarch and heir to the throne. It is a massive private real estate portfolio designed to provide the heir apparent with a substantial independent income.
When Charles became King in September 2022, Prince William automatically inherited the title of Duke of Cornwall (and was subsequently named Prince of Wales), taking over the estate. When William eventually ascends to the throne, George will instantly inherit the Duchy.
The U.K. government considers the Duchy a "crown body," meaning the estate itself is legally exempt from paying corporate or capital gains taxes. Because this tax-exempt status has historically been a point of public contention, both King Charles and Prince William have opted to voluntarily pay standard UK income tax on their personal earnings from the estate.
Today, the Duchy owns roughly 130,000 acres of land spanning 23 counties in England and Wales. The sprawling portfolio goes far beyond traditional farmland; it includes residential housing developments, commercial real estate, coastal shorelines, Dartmoor prison, and even the Oval cricket ground in central London. As of 2025, the Duchy's net assets are valued at over $1.3 billion, producing more than $30 million in annual, private income for the heir.
Early Life
Prince George Alexander Louis was born on July 22, 2013, at the private Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London. His arrival was celebrated globally with gun salutes across London and the Tower Bridge lit in blue. Shortly after his birth, he was introduced to the world on the steps of the hospital, swaddled in his mother's arms, while his proud father looked on.
George's parents have been highly proactive in providing a semblance of normalcy in his life, despite his royal destiny. His early childhood was spent primarily at the family's country residence, Anmer Hall in Norfolk, safely away from the prying eyes of the media. However, his royal duties began early; his first public engagement came at the age of just eight months when he accompanied his parents on a royal tour to New Zealand and Australia, becoming the youngest royal to undertake an official tour.

Education and Interests
At the age of two, George began his education at the Westacre Montessori School Nursery in Norfolk. In 2017, he transitioned to Thomas's Battersea, a prestigious private school in London. His first day of school was a highly anticipated international media event, yielding iconic photographs of a slightly apprehensive George in his navy uniform holding his father's hand.
Following the family's relocation to Windsor in September 2022, George and his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, enrolled at the co-educational Lambrook School in Berkshire. As he finishes his final year at Lambrook in 2026, royal watchers are closely monitoring where the young Prince will attend secondary school, with heavy speculation pointing toward either his father's alma mater, Eton College, or his mother's, Marlborough College.
As he matures, George has taken on increasingly visible roles within the monarchy. In May 2023, he served as a Page of Honour at the coronation of his grandfather, King Charles III, showing a charming blend of royal poise and childhood innocence.
Inspired by his father and grandfather, George has developed a keen interest in conservation and the outdoors, once receiving a fossilized shark tooth from Sir David Attenborough. He has also inherited his father's intense passion for football and aviation. A devout Aston Villa fan, George is frequently spotted cheering enthusiastically in the stands alongside Prince William at major matches, including the UEFA Euro Championships and FA Cup finals, and reportedly began taking private flying lessons in late 2024.
