Professional Broadcasting Career
Joy Taylor began her professional broadcasting career at 790 AM The Ticket in Miami, where she started behind the scenes as an executive producer. Her sharp instincts and on-air charisma soon led to a promotion as host of "The Ticket Morning Show." During her time in Miami radio, she developed a dynamic and confident broadcasting style marked by her quick wit, deep sports knowledge, and ability to navigate substantive debates on complex sports topics.
In 2016, Taylor made a national leap by joining Fox Sports 1 (FS1), where she initially served as the moderator for "Skip and Shannon: Undisputed" alongside Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe. Her presence on the show elevated the tone of debate and quickly established her as a standout talent in sports television. In 2018, she was promoted to co-host "The Herd with Colin Cowherd," one of FS1's premier programs, where she further honed her skills as a sharp commentator and conversationalist.
In 2022, she was named co-host of FS1's afternoon debate show "Speak," working alongside Keyshawn Johnson and, later, Paul Pierce. Taylor remained with the program until its cancellation in July 2025, when Fox Sports opted not to renew her contract as part of a broader programming shakeup.
Outside of FS1, Taylor has hosted her own podcast, "Maybe I'm Crazy," where she blended sports, culture, and social commentary.

Personal Life and Fox Sports Lawsuit
At some point around 2016, Joy was married to a man named Richard Giannotti. In 2018, Joy became engaged to former NBA player Earl Watson. They split up in November 2019.
In January 2025, a former Fox Sports stylist sued the network and several of its anchors and executives, notably Skip Bayless, alleging inappropriate conduct and behavior. Joy Taylor was also mentioned in the lawsuit. The stylist claimed in her lawsuit that Joy did not support her when she reported the alleged harassment. Taylor reportedly told the stylist to "get over it."
Furthermore, the lawsuit alleged that Taylor used sexual relationships with former NFL star and co-host Emmanuel Acho and network executive Charlie Dixon to further her career. Taylor allegedly fabricated a sexual misconduct allegation against Dixon to protect and advance her status. At the time of her alleged affair with Dixon, who was the President of Content and an Executive Vice President, Taylor was a fill-in host. She was soon added as a full-time host. She then allegedly pursued a relationship with Emmanuel Acho. When the stylist allegedly warned Taylor about having relationships with Dixon and Acho at the same time, Taylor reportedly claimed that "once Mr. Dixon was no longer useful to her, she would follow through on her plan to tell the company that he forced himself on her. She would not allow herself to be forced out by Mr. Dixon like other women talent."
