Early Life and Education

Scott Stuber was born on December 13, 1968 in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, California. For his higher education, he went to the University of Arizona, where he earned a degree in film.

Career Beginnings

After graduating from college, Stuber returned to Los Angeles and worked as a publicity assistant to Lew Wasserman at Universal Pictures. Eventually, he became co-president of production at Universal with Mary Parent. In 2004, he and Parent were named co-vice chairs of worldwide production for the studio.

Film Producing

In 2005, Stuber and Parent signed a production contract with Universal under the name Stuber/Parent Productions. Stuber went on to have his first credits as a film producer on the 2006 comedies "The Break-Up" and "You, Me and Dupree." The following year, he co-produced the action thriller "The Kingdom" with Michael Mann. Returning to comedies in 2008, Stuber produced "Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins" and "Role Models." That year, he signed a five-year contract with Universal under his own vanity card, Stuber Pictures.
