NFL Career
Hank Baskett entered the NFL in 2006 after signing with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent. Before the regular season, he was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for wide receiver Billy McMullen. Baskett quickly made an impact with the Eagles, earning NFL Rookie of the Week honors after posting 112 receiving yards against the Dallas Cowboys and 177 receiving yards against the Atlanta Falcons, scoring a touchdown in each game.
During the 2007 season, Baskett became a key contributor on special teams and was named the Eagles' Special Teams MVP. He remained with the team through the 2008 season and entered the 2009 offseason as a restricted free agent. In February 2009, he signed a one-year contract to remain in Philadelphia. However, with a crowded wide receiver depth chart, the Eagles released Baskett in September 2009 to clear a roster spot for quarterback Michael Vick.
Shortly after his release, Baskett signed a one-year contract with the Indianapolis Colts, who were the defending AFC champions at the time. He appeared with the Colts during their run to Super Bowl XLIV in February 2010. Following the game, in which the New Orleans Saints recovered an onside kick that led to a pivotal touchdown, the Colts released Baskett the next day.
In March 2010, Baskett returned to the Eagles on a one-year, $800,000 contract but was released again in September. The Vikings re-signed him the following day, and he appeared in eight games during the 2010 season. His contract was not renewed in March 2011, effectively ending his NFL career.
Reality TV
Beyond football, Baskett gained broader public recognition through reality television. From 2009 to 2011, he appeared alongside his then-wife Kendra Wilkinson on the E! series "Kendra," which ran for four seasons. The couple later starred on WE tv's "Kendra on Top" from 2012 to 2017, a six-season run that documented their marriage, family life, and eventual divorce.
