In 2014 Anne was forced to settle a back-tax case with authorities in the Philippines. She ultimately agreed to pay $2 million in back taxes and penalties. Early Life
Anne Curtis was born on February 17, 1985 in Yarrawonga, Victoria, Australia to Carmencita and James. Her mother is a Filipina of Chinese and Spanish heritage, and her father is an Australian with English, German, Italian, and Irish ancestry. She has a younger sister named Jasmine who also became an actress. When Curtis was 11, she traveled with her family to the Philippines and was approached by a talent scout who invited her to enter a child beauty pageant. She subsequently began going to various talent agencies and remained with her family in the Philippines to launch her career.
Film Career
In 1997, Curtis made her film debut in "Magic Kingdom: Ang Alamat ng Damortis." Over the subsequent years, she had supporting roles in various films, such as "Ikaw Lamang," "Ika-13 Kapitulo," "Juan & Ted: Wanted," and "Lastikman." Curtis had her first major film roles in two 2006 movies: the romantic drama "All About Love" and the horror anthology film "'Wag Kang Lilingon." The next year, she starred in "Ang Cute Ng Ina Mo."
