What is The Miz's Net Worth?

The Miz is an American professional wrestler and television personality who has a net worth of $14 million. Michael Gregory Mizanin, known professionally as "The Miz," began his entertainment career not in wrestling, but as a reality TV star on MTV's "The Real World: Back to New York" in 2001, followed by appearances on various "Real World/Road Rules Challenge" shows. After becoming runner-up in WWE's Tough Enough competition, he signed with WWE in 2004 and joined the main roster in 2006. His wrestling career has been remarkably successful, as he has won the WWE Championship twice, the Intercontinental Championship eight times, the United States Championship twice, and a total of nine tag team championships, accumulating 21 overall championships in WWE. These accomplishments made him WWE's 25th Triple Crown Champion and 14th Grand Slam Champion, as well as the first wrestler to accomplish the latter twice under the revised 2015 format.

The Miz's career highlights include winning the Money in the Bank Ladder Match in July 2010, which he later cashed in to defeat Randy Orton and become WWE Champion. He repeated this feat in 2021, becoming a two-time WWE Champion. Beyond wrestling, The Miz has established himself as an entertainment figure, hosting "Miz TV," starring in several WWE Studios films, including multiple installments of "The Marine" franchise, and appearing in his own reality show "Miz & Mrs." alongside his wife Maryse and their two daughters.

Known for his exceptional microphone skills and cocky "A-Lister" persona, The Miz transformed from being dismissed as an "MTV guy" to becoming one of WWE's most reliable and decorated performers. His journey from reality television participant to main event wrestler at WrestleMania represents one of the most successful career transitions in sports entertainment history.

Early Life

The Miz was born Michael Gregory Mizanin on October 8, 1980, in Parma, Ohio. His parents, Barbara and George, divorced, and he grew up with a stepfather, Donnie, and step-siblings Jimmy and Tonia. Mizanin studied at Normandy High School, where he was a member of the yearbook staff and the student government and served as captain of the basketball team as well as the cross-country team. After graduation, he enrolled at Miami University (also known as Miami of Ohio) and joined the Theta Chi fraternity. He took courses at the university's Richard T. Farmer School of Business before dropping out to star on "The Real World" in 2001.

Reality Television Career

Michael joined the cast of the tenth season of "The Real World" and introduced the world to his alter ego, The Miz. He later appeared in several seasons of "Real World/Road Rules Challenge": "Battle of the Seasons" (2002), "The Gauntlet" (2003–2004), "The Inferno" (2004), "Battle of the Sexes 2" (2004–2005), and "The Inferno II" (2005). Mizanin won two seasons of the series, "Battle of the Seasons" and "The Inferno II," and competed on Bravo's "Battle of the Network Reality Stars" in 2004. He later appeared on "Fear Factor" (2006), "Ghost Hunters" (2008), "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?" (2009), and "Family Game Night" (2014). The Miz hosted MTV's "The Challenge: Champs vs. Stars" from 2017 to 2018, and he has hosted several "The Challenge" reunion shows. In 2020, Mizanin began hosting "Cannonball" on the USA network.

Professional Wrestling Career

Michael joined Ultimate Pro Wrestling in 2003, training at the Ultimate University, and the following year, he competed for $1 million and a WWE contract on season four of "WWE Tough Enough." Though he came in second, the WWE offered him a developmental contract anyway and sent him to Deep South Wrestling in Georgia to train with Bill DeMott. The Miz teamed up with Matt Cappotelli for two WWE dark matches in July 2005, and they kept working together until Matt was diagnosed with a brain tumor in December of that year. Mizanin was transferred to Ohio Valley Wrestling in early 2006, and he appeared in a "Miz TV" segment on the organization's television show. The Miz began hosting "SmackDown!" in June 2006 and defeated Tatanka during his in-ring debut on the September 1st episode; he was undefeated for the following three months. He debuted "Miz TV" on "SmackDown!" as an interview segment in March 2007, and in June, he was drafted to ECW, the WWE's Extreme Championship Wrestling brand.

The Miz won his first WWE championship in November 2007 when he and John Morrison defeated Montel Vontavious Porter and Matt Hardy to become Tag Team Champions. The pair was given two web shows on the WWE website, "The Dirt Sheet" and "Word Up." Michael won the United States Championship in October 2009, and in January 2010, he became tag team partners with Big Show, and they were the Unified WWE Tag Team Champions a month later. With this win, The Miz earned the honor of being the first WWE wrestler to hold three championship titles at the same time, and later that year, he won the Money in the Bank ladder match and the WWE Championship. The Miz won the Intercontinental Championship in July 2012, becoming both a Grand Slam Champion and a Triple Crown Champion. In 2018, he teamed up with Asuka in the Mixed Match Challenge tournament, and they won $100,000 for the charitable organization Rescue Dogs Rock. Mizanin and Morrison won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship in February 2020, and they were both drafted to Raw in October.

Championships and Accomplishments

During his career with the WWE, The Miz has won one WWE Championship, eight WWE Intercontinental Championships, four WWE Tag Team Championships, two WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships, two World Tag Team Championships, two WWE United States Championships, and several other championships. In 2008, Mizanin and John Morrison were named Tag Team of the Year, and he won the Money in the Bank match in 2010. "Rolling Stone" magazine crowned him WWE Wrestler of the Year in 2017, and "Pro Wrestling Illustrated" ranked him #1 on their 2011 list of the top 500 singles wrestlers. Michael also won the Deep South Wrestling Heavyweight Championship in 2005 and the Ohio Valley Wrestling Tag Team Championship (with Chris Cage) in 2006.

Real Estate

In 2017, Michael and Maryse paid $2.35 million for a mansion in Austin, Texas, and they sold it in July 2019 for $2.64 million.

In Los Angeles, they at one time owned a home in the Laurel Canyon neighborhood, which they sold for around $3 million.

In August 2019, Miz and Mrs. Miz paid $6.4 million for a large mansion in Thousand Oaks, California. Located in a gated community, the 10,400 square foot home sits on 1.3 acres and has six bedrooms and ten bathrooms. Miz and Maryse put this home on the market in January 2022 for $12.5 million. They did not accept any offers at this price and re-listed the home in September 2024 for $11.995 million. Here is a video tour:
